The Florida Splash Family Fun Day will be this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m at Abundant Grace Community Church.

Parents and players of the team are coming together to have fun, turn up and build on their team chemistry along with coaches. Acceptance, honesty and integrity are commodities which are never in short supply in relation to a team.

Events like this can really help build all three of these keys. The goal is to help the entire unit see their teammates and coaches in a different light.

A parent of a Splash player, local dentist Marc Cauchon, said Saturday’s event could be a great time for players to connect with other players they haven’t been around as much.

“Players will leave this event trusting coaches more and this could be vital towards their conference for the upcoming season,” Cauchon said.

This program will be a fun day, no question. However, this will be a day of unity.

This will be the first time a lot of players will be able to reunite with their teammates, since most of the players have been at separate summer programs, thus far.

One of the most exciting parts of Saturday definitely will be when the coaches take on the players in a pick-up game of basketball. Coaches say they look forward to winning each game and bragged about the good food that will be here.

Ninth grade coach Wes Phillips says this could be an opportunity to have memories that last forever. “Players will get a real close at loyalty and it’s important that these players see family, faces they will never forget, and moments that will live a lifetime,” Phillips said. “Saturday looks to be nothing short of a positive fun day for all.”
